Eyjólfur Héðinsson (born 1 January 1985 in Reykjavík) is an Icelandic footballer, who plays as a midfielder for Danish club SønderjyskE. Eyjólfur Héðinsson, sometimes called "gyðingur", "snákurinn" or "Eyo" started his football career at ÍR. There he was early recognized as a promising player and was simply outstanding in his age. In 1995 he was voted as the best player at Shellmótið-cup and he got his first taste of international football at the age 17 when he led U-17 team for Iceland as captain.
